B i o g r a p h y


Daniel Saether was born in Oslo, Norway.

He studied  at  Birminghan Conservatoire and at The Royal Academy in Den Haag.


In 2006 , Daniel made his operatic début for the Norwegian State Opera Company  with a concert performance of  J. Adams “El Niño” Shortly thereafter,  he made his UK début with Handels Messiah and followd by that a series of concerts in Oslo featuring repertoire such as Bach, Handel, Monteverdi, Buxtehude and Purcell to mention some.

Concert highlights includes Carmina Burana with Ho-Chi-Minh Symphony Orchestra in Vietnam,  Bach solo cantata BWV 35 with Stavanger Cathedral Ensemble, Bach St. Johns Passion, Magnificat, Handels Messiah to mention some.

The ensembles Daniel has worked with includes, Barokkanerne, Oslo Barokk, Paulus Barokk Ensemble, Currentes Ensemble, Pro Musica Antiqua and Bragernes Barokk.

Daniel performs all the major oratorios, passions and cantatas of the baroque era. Daniel has also performed in concert music by Purcell, Mozart, Camille Saint-Saëns, Carl Orf, and Bernstein to mention some.


Daniel is based in Oslo.
